Chess Update: Autumn 2009

This proved to be a keenly contested affair all the way through, and resulted in a final between Freddie Pover and Josh Moore which Freddie won by checkmate.

Chess club proper has now begun. Years 6, 7 and 8 have finally found a suitable slot on Wednesday morning. This means that Year 5 will now meet on Friday mornings in the dining hall at the same time as Years 3 and 4.

There are still some spaces available so if anyone is interested we would love you to join us on the appropriate morning. At present we are learning, polishing up tactics and playing casual friendly matches. The British Land tournament will begin in early January.
