Pre-School
The Pre-School is the first component of our Foundation Stage and is large, bright and well resourced. It is housed in the court yard and has its own enclosed outdoor play area. The Pre-School also has the use of many of the school's facilities, including the gym, hall, and library as well as the extensive grounds.
The Pre-School is well equipped and the children enjoy a caring, friendly and inspiring environment in which they are encouraged to achieve their potential in preparation for entry into Reception. Each child receives individual attention from our dedicated, highly qualified professional team of caring staff.
Learning in the Pre-School is largely through structured play through which the children’s enthusiasm for learning is stimulated. The Pre-School is organised to allow the children to explore and learn securely and safely. There are areas where the children can be quiet, creative and challenged. The rooms are set up to allow the children to find equipment and resources independently.
We wish to ensure that we have up-to-date medical, dietary and emergency contact details and would be grateful if you would please complete the following forms and return them to the school office on your child's first day in Pre-School.
Children starting in our Pre-School will be required to wear the following uniform:
a) A red polo shirt £6.70
b) A blue sweatshirt £7.99
These can be obtained from Grahame Gardner (tel: 0116 216 0665).
Trousers and shirts are parental choice.
