Admissions

Stoneygate offers the potential of a continual learning experience from Reception to GCSE level, however, we welcome applications from children into any year up to and including Year 10.

The school is fully co-educational and admission is open to all who meet our entry requirements, regardless of gender, race, religious, socio-economic or cultural background.

Entry at the earliest point is to our Reception class for boys and girls in the academic year following their fourth birthday. Children for entry at this level are assessed by staff in the January prior to admission in September.

Those children wishing to join the School in later years, are asked to sit an assessment and undertake an interview with the Headmaster that is appropriate for their age. Special aptitudes in sport, music and other fields are taken into account when deciding whether to offer a place.

Scholarships are available for pupils in Year 7 upwards in the fields of Sport, Music, Art and Academia and an All-Rounder scholarship is also available.

At the end of their GCSE studies, should pupils wish to complete their education within the Trust, our pupils (together with a minimum of 3 GCSEs Grade 7 and 3 Grade 6, with a recommendation from the Headmaster ) would be guaranteed a place in the Sixth Form at Leicester Grammar School. If pupils choose to move on they are well prepared for entry to another school at the ages of 11 and 13.
